coptleigh
Hi, Out today in the Danby Wiske area, late morning we came across a biggish flock feeding on a rape firld, we walked them off, but they never did return, later roost shooting, showed most of them had in their crops, acorns, some wheat, hawthorn berries, a little clover, and a bit of rape /not much though, but looks like they will be beginning to hammer it as the other stuff runs out. Hope this helps. Alan
Plumbob
went out yesterday morning not expecting to see huge numbers, walked down a big rape field to see two big flocks lift up may have been 400 birds. Many started to return straight away so I set up in a likley spot and it was good sport for about an hour until the fog came down. May give it a go again today. On the walk out I saw a bit of pigeon damage on the rape plants so yes there on it down here and have been for a week or two.

pigeon controller
We went out yesterday and checked four farms for pigeons on the rape. none on the first three but we found them on the fourth. The fog was so thick we ended up standing on the hedge between two fifty acre fields and shot the flightline.Ended up with 73. no pictures as we were to lazy to walk back to the car and back again we just carried the birds off the field. Its nice to see them on the rape at last. Pigeon Controller

perfect
I shot over rape today lots of wind and rain not many birds around at all although i knew the fields next door had been drilled and the field after that, i let a couple of rounds off and sure enough birds came up from the neighbouring fields so i packed up to take a look at two other permissions the farmer wanted us to see that was being hammered 5 fields at one location and one massive field further down the road that had pigeons on , cant wait till next week.
