p-a-s
hi all i have only ever decoyed pigeons useing the magnet and-or decoys. the pigeons i am going to be shooting next week get hammered on a regular basis(not by me), so was thinking of trying a couple of floaters for a change. and i think i might stick a few full body decoys in the tree behind the hide. any ideas on the placement of floaters for best effect.thanks in advance paul ps i have done a couple of searches but drawn blanks. garyb
Way out... I like mine around 40 yards downwind of the pattern, on either side so that it almost acts as a runway into the pattern
Cranfield
I place mine about 6-10 ft from the back of the pattern, to mimic birds coming in to land behind the decoys.
Greenhunter
Either of the above will work but try to place them where they get the best of the wind so you get plenty of movement. Landers work well too, set well into the pattern, where you want them to pitch in but don't block any escape routes!
