grasshopper
Was out for a call tonight, fox is running off just as we drive into the field never mind,we get set up,let things settle for a while then start calling...just over an hour later and 1 eventually decides to turn up..not much of a story as he hangs up about 100yds away, but presents a nice shot as he sits down to watch.Shot with the NV and called with the Fox-Pro. Me with my new Jimny shooting vehicle(few mods done,so pics forthcoming) What was impressive was his gnashers.. Also had this fella on Thurs night, but couldn,t find him, farmer did on Friday!Right where i shot him Another dog fox.Called out of the cow byers. Had 2 Roe on a recent stalk, but forgot the camera and my phone that morning...think i,m losing the plot The end product. Unfortunately,i found this old fella a few days later. He came past us about 5-6yds away 2 weeks ago on a pheasant shoot.I noticed then that 1 of his antlers was not as pronounced as the other and that he looked small for a 6 pointer(was wishing i,d caught up with him earlier in the year) Upon checking him over,no obvious wounds were found, and it was noticed that he had virtually no teeth.I found him just after the recent cold snap and snow,so i,m assuming it finally took it,s toll on him.Rang the farmer,he brought 2 spades and we buried the old fella. JohnGalway
...think i,m losing the plot Stop hurting your brain, I can confirm that fully Pity about that old fella he don't look in great shape, and the six pointer too (Note to mods, I can only assume this is a hint that a bigger bribe is needed, thought we'd gotten rid of this one!!) Good bit of shooting Edited December 21, 2008 by JohnGalway
