alanlee
Hi ive just ordered a air arms s200 having heard they are a good gun. Anyone own one of these and care to give their opinion on them? They are meant to be the best of the cheaper PCP guns. I tried one but didnt like it - the stock felt too square for me, you may like it though. They are not regulated, so you may be best in getting a divers bottle for it to keep the pressure at the best level. They give out lower power when full, and again when emptying. The lower power when full happens apparently because the extra pressure casues the valve to stick slightly(well thats the excuse I've heard). There are loads of user reviews around, do a google search. Get the multishot conversion for it as well - it really is a bonus having a multishot, I think thats the best thing about PCP multis - you can firs off 10 shots in quick succession. Alan. roblade
great little rifle the S200 used ot have one and sold it because i got bored of hitting drawing pins at the club (a time before i aquired my shoot) you should get about 40-60 decent "full power" shots out of a one charge filling it to 190 bar in time you might want to imporve it slightly by getting a steel bolt and a metal trigger (not that they help you shoot any better but they do look nice ) there are only two down sides about the s200: 1. the two piece stock ( i like it but some dont nothing wrong with it aopart from looks) 2. shots per charge (but then agian a .22 will give the same amount of shots as its big brother the S400 in .177) dont be too suprised if once you get the rifle the groupings **** a little erratic, as it would probably take a couple of tins of pellets for the barrel to get clear of all the protective gunk they stick in it. but once thats done you shouldnt have any problems with sub 1" groups (even close to one hole groups) at 40 yards. multi shot mag is a decent bit of kit but not essential (bit like metal bits) ******* it is possible to cock the s200 in silence, if you pull the trigger when cocking until the bolt if pully to the rear release the trigger and load a pellet

Stalker_2
I got one last year after a mate who is a manager for a large pest control firm recommended it. It is the only pellet gun his people use. It’s very light and strangely ugly but it shoots very well. It’s used to knock feral pigeons out of the rafters without punching a hole through the roofs of the farm buildings. I get 50 shots from a 190bar charge. If you put more than 190bar in you lose power. I found that it was down on power out of the box but it was a simple matter to tweak it up to 12ftlbs. I’m still playing with different pellets at the moment…trying to find the best. This is the first pellet gun since I was 15 and that’s a long time ago so I’m re-learning the craft. If you discover a particularly good brand and weight of pellet I’d appreciate a heads up. Cheers.
bennyblanco
great little gun, i only changed to the hornet for more weight and a reg. i would recomend removing the crappy forward barrel support and leave it free floating, the barrrel is strong enough and the weedy fore end can push up the poi with it left on. the power gets really flat at about 170bar for 35ish shots, my .22 loved aa fields and was ok with accupells. if you fit a bi pod shooting will be easy out to silly ranges, have fun my friend
Jon-Boy
Gun just arrived, set it up, gassed it up, two shots... it was zeroed in. What a rifle!!! pellet goes through the same hole every time!
Tyke
Hi Another good thing is they are not pellet fussy. My son uses those half alloy pellets in his and it still shoots perfect, wish my Hornet was the same.
