Evil Elvis
I went round a relatives house over crimbo and spotted this on the wall, it still cocks and fires, bore slightly larger than a .22.Supposedly used as a dueling pistol, and is stamped 1804. and made by h trehman (or something similar). Another of my relies shot a .22 through it but the case got wedge down the barrel!!! Any ideas? harv
looks to be a saloon pistol made during the second half of the 19th century. its probably 6mm the ammunition was of flobert type which uses no powder but the priming compound to propel the bullet. TO USE ANY OTHER AMMUNITION TYPE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND ESPECIALLY THE WRONG CALIBRE.
gunboot
Yep I aggree with Harv its to large for a Deringer pistol.

mudpatten
Think Harv is right. Probably of Belgian or possibly French manufacture. Nick.
