Out Baiting Foxes

Have given the wife strict instructions not to throw any food waste away over the past festive feasting

So with a large bucket full of goose & chicken carcases and various smelly leftovers (gravy and stuffing too :hmm: ) off to a favourite bait spot I went.

I took the rifle just in case one was eager  and the bait was out in a long line covering about 30 / 40 yards with plently of whiff going down the field :hmm:

The foxes here have been coming out a little later than usual (so we have some lamping planned) although I thought I'd sit and wait just to see if there were any early customers.

The first one of 2009 at around 4:30pm yesterday. He came out to my left, and was onto me as soon as I spotted him (I was taking the lazy way out sitting in the car) - slowly moving the cross hairs onto him with him looking right at me got the heart racing - He took the bullet at about 45 yards.

Always good to get the first one out of the way.

Happy Hunting
