Andy_B
Hi all, Here is the project Zaballa i have been doing over the past few months....it was a very tatty 12bore non ejector and after some help from very kind members and a good few hours from myself....i have managed to strip the stock back to bare wood and apply numerous coats of tru-oil...action has been stripped degreased and polished, then greased in appropriate places rather than having it pumped full of the stuff....barrels have also been stripped back to bare metal and re blued to a deep black shine.. In my mind it is 100% better than it was when i purchased it....now for the scary bit....i am hoping for some feedback as to how much you think it is worth !!..please be kind...i am hoping to raise enough to purchase a .22lr bolt action with scope...nothing to special for out and about in the fields so looks not too important...Your views and comments wil ..i hope...be greatly appreciated !! Tis1979
Hi andy what did you use to rub the metal down? looks great. I'm in the middle of a project at the mo. Cheers Tis
Andy_B
The action was all polished with a polishing dolly and cutting compounds ,the dolly was held in a lathe in my work...the barrels were done by hand with various grades of emery followed up with wet and dry paper and wire wool.. al4x
the gun looks great and i'm sure you would be able to get enough for a .22lr but I'd keep the Zabala as you won't get any where enough to make the hard work worth it.
Andy_B
Thanks very much for the "Kind" comments...still swayed to selling it...Beretta is my pride and joy gun and will always reach for it first...and will need some room in the cab for rifles ...so it looks like its days are numbered...really enjoyed waisting hours doing it..
