mattslaptop247
Just bought a second hand lincoln shotgun, o/u ejector, double trigger, boxlock, all the usual really. Just wondered if anyone knew how to identify the different models. I dare say its getting on a bit, but has an unusual rectangular locking bolt that goes across to lock the breech shut. It's not a jubilee or a prestige. ( it has a straight english style stock and had mounts for swivels before I took them off, dare say it might be intended for a foreign market) Has anyone got any ideas what it is? I will try and post some pics later this evening. Thanks Edited January 16, 2009 by mattslaptop247

Fatcatsplat
Looks like the same model that i had - Just checked my SGC and it is listed, helpfuly as "Lincoln 12g O/U".........er, I wasn't a lot of help there was i? Would say that it was a cracking gun - Flogged it to help pay for my Browning. One thing i would say is to watch out for the sidebolt thing - Several times i loaded the cartridges and tried to close the gun, but found that the bolt had re-engaged itself where my thumb had nudged it - Effectively the gun was closed while still broken. THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
I had a Zanolletti, looked just like that. And I had the problem of sometimes it went closed while still open. In general worked well though. Spot of oil on the top bolt plus the useuall places every use helped to keep it smooth.

bruno22rf
I had an SKB that looked identical to this-i read somewhere that the japanese company bought the machine tools for these guns from Berretta after the italian company modernised its range-dont know if that helps or hinders!
