rompom
I'm just getting into shooting (have been hunting with air rifles for some time, but have my police interview for the SGC on Monday) and would like some advice on which gun to go for. The first issue is budget - I have about £200 to spend on the gun, and have already got the safes. Everyone has said that for £200 I wont get a decent make, so I should just go for the gun which feels right and with which I can get my aim quickly. Would you agree? Also, where can I go to try out various affordable guns? The people I know at the local clay shoot all have guns well outside my budget so, whilst enjoyable, it may not be that useful! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
pair away
Rompom you are not going to get alot for this sort of money but , if its an O/U you are after a lamber is a good starter gun and you should be able to find one for this sort of price . Imperfection
Have a look round local gunshops because often they have cheaper guns in stock as well as expensive ones and then you can try them out for size too. Most shops keep a good selection of budget guns or try Guntrader (click here) as already suggested because you can even search by region too. As for type? Side by side, over and under or semi-automatic?
dirtydawk
A lot of people slander Baikal's, I own one and it has never let me down. i shoot with a few lads who own some really pricey guns and they all own a Baikal as well, they're not pretty but they are what they are, and that is functional, robust and reliable. You can't go wrong with one matey. Others may disagree ,but as a starter gun, a Baikal is hard to beat.

Gordon R
For that money you can get an Escort auto which will shoot far better than any of us will. Good luck.
