Sprinter
It really depends what type of beaters day it is If it is a true driven day you want to be firing a tighter choke first - half or 1/4 well out in front of you, then when you have missed with your first barrel you need a more open choke as they will be on you so 1/4 or skeet. If its a walked up, shoot them up the backside type scenario, most of them will be going away from you so open choke first then tighter choke when you have missed the easy shot and they are making good progress towards the next county to take it to the extreme and this is an attempt to be humerous not a recommendation 28g of 6s skeet followed by 36g 4s through a full choke - lol In all fairness it probably isn't worth stressing about, just point it in the right direction and pull the trigger at the right moment and it wont matter one jot what choke you have in it. The only m/c gun i have is a 20g o/u and since about a week after having it it has has skeet and a quarter in it. My pigeon/pheasant gun is 1/4 1/2 and the old baikal is 3/4 full and used for roost shooting only or the occasional invite to "taller" pheasant.
