There are a good few 93 /94 3 door Ford Maverick 2.7TD about at the moment they were never that popular so they are going for silly money infact less than their identical twin the Nissan Terrano.

The Maverick is a Rebadged Nissan Terrano so the running gear and power plant is very solid and reliable.

The engines are a proven nissan commercial range and as long as they have oil they will run and run. The parts are relatively cheep from people like milner offroad

I have a later model LWB cus I have got 3 sprogs. It will go anywhere a rangerover will go in low range FWD and is a bloody sight easier to drive infact renowned for its car like qualities.

Certainly worth a look at.

I used to use an old suzuki SJ 1.6 which was also very good but found spares rather expensive.

Have a look on ebay

Landrover Series 3.... well yes. Or a 90.....yes. But why rough it when you can buy a TDI Disco for £1500?

I just thought that I better add that I am not selling my Disco, and definately not for £1500, but my point is that you can easily get a Disco for that money.

I looked at Disco's before i got my 90. They were all shagged, high mileage, bits falling off (what a suprise its a landrover!) for anything under £2000. Im not saying Malc your wrong but in dorset anything decent is snapped up and the **** is disgused to look good.

Had one of those little Suzuki's, steer well clear mate. I've got a Daihatsu Fourtrak that I'm going to have to reluctantly sell, it's in great condition '93 but with tax and MOT, 2.8TDX top of range. They take the engines out of these to put in those poxy old Land Rovers for use in serious off roading so that tells you something. Plenty of cheap bits for these around if you need them, I use mine for shooting/ferreting/fishing trips and it's been great !!!

I need £2,700 for it but at that it's a snip. Need to know soon if you are interested so fee free to PM for some photos. Vermin Dropper has seen it and Nicky from the site has ridden in it if you want confirmation of condition.

Last but not least, if you go for an old Range Rover or Disco be sure you've got good reserves in the bank !!!!
