Whitebridges
Lander, damn cold here in Norfolk today. Snow, strong North easterly wind in theory Ideal for pigeon shooting. On reflection I probably went to the wrong roosting wood but managed four with a couple of crows and a jackdaw thrown in. Birds were racing past at a fair speed and weren't pitching in. An enjoyable few hours nonetheless. There were obviously a few other guns out and by the sound of things they were doing rather better. Are there any other Norfolk shooters posting on this forum? How's it going?
dodeer
A mate of mine in Dorset had 110 roost shooting tonight! But he is a damn fine shot and only fired 175 cartridges.

ollie
A mate of mine in Dorset had 110 roost shooting tonight! But he is a damn fine shot and only fired 175 cartridges. I have never seen half as many birds as that while roost shooting. I wish I had of been in the wood he was in.
Whitebridges
Ollie, that is some bag and an impressive shot to kill. Can you tell us more of the story? I've only ever shot more than 40 three times roost shooting.
dodeer
The chap who shot the 110 was shooting on the dorset/ wiltshire border. Started at 3 pm and last shot at 6.01pm. He was using a Winchester 12b 101 1/2 and full choke 28" barrels and RC Sipe 32g 6shot. Says there were thousands of pigeons and he also had an advantage as there was a simulated day about 1 mile away which had driven pigeons from the normal roosting wood. Whitebridges
Sam f and Ollie, hope he had time to pick everything up. At least he must have has warm hands from the gun. You don't get too many runners with F/C and RC 32's. Great bag that, well done.
