reddeer 40
Arrived thursdaynoon and after a quick sandwich & coffee we visited the fields & woods we could shoot over with the farmer. We saw one field with 300+ pigeons on and a lot more in the trees nearby. We dicided to shoot that field next morning & the farmer was so friendly to stop the bangers nearby. We went back & prepared ourselfs for some roost shooting in the wood, but after the farmer told us that there were some muntjac in, I decided to give that a try. The roost shooting was not so good, we shot a few but the flocks were too big & flew too high. I was stalking around and found a good spot were I could see three paths. After 30 minutes I was lucky, a good muntjac crossed at 130 yards, I stopped him with a whistle and could take the shot. It was the biggest muntjac buck I ever saw! reddeer 40
Friday morning we went for the pigeons, we possitioned ourselfs in the corner of the rapefield, hidding in a "cabbage"? field planted for pheasants.

reddeer 40
the pigeons were hitting the magnet very good at first day light, but it stopped already after one hour! we saw huge flocks very high but no action for us anymore. At noon we stopped with 17 pigeons & 2 jackdaws, took a drive around and found big flocks feeding on rape a few miles further (but not on fields of the farmer we knew). Anyway we were happy how the pigeons came in on the magnet.
reddeer 40
Saturdaymorning the same story, very early action & quickly done, with a very nice moment when a sparrowhawk took one of our shot pigeons, he had to try a few times to lift it of the ground. I'm happy I could take a picture of it.
