bjlfishing
i have only had cockers with over 5 gerations bred by me and my old man they will work all day every day without question but if your looking for a dogging in dog try and find a bigger version the smaller cockers have a habit of running out of steam in wet cold weather but are more popular with grouse keepers as the stand the august heat better than any other gundog
Lancs Lad
Fantastic little things..........Or not little in my big boys case....... Works like a kid in a sweat shop sewing nike trainers......... Just doesnt stop. . . . . . .sure he craps energizer bunnies..... this was his second season in the beating line and deep thick cover. Was used to do dogging in on a couple of days before the shoot and then continued to work v hard throughout the shooting day. Last day of the season we did 3 extra beats.......................and he still ran all the way back to the car park............ Cockers are not hard to train.
