utectok
the link you posted was for a silver pigeon and the gun ur selling is an s686 special a totally different gun which never cost anything like £1500 and I don't think they are made anymore. Nice gun nevertheless but I wouldn't pay £800 for one even mint. Mine (essential model no engraving an 12 g but still was mint) cost me £565. Anyway good luck with it nice gun but not premium beretta as the link indicates
saunders.shoots
s686 special is a 686 silver pigeon s . so i am wrong and i should not have paid 1500 for it??? my gun looks exactly the same the the one in the link. i will post some photos to prove it Edited February 11, 2009 by saunders.shoots
dodeer
If yours is only 23/4" chambers then it is not a Silver Pigeon but an older model 686.

Jesse James
I too have bought the 686s silver pigeon S 28inch but in 12b end of last year it was £1,200 Brand New. It came with 5 chokes two fitted, a gel recoil pad , hard pad plastic case and sling studs. Its the one in the link shown. Not sure about the chokes you have fitted but hey nice shotgun. Have a bump on me mate. ATB Lee Edited February 11, 2009 by Jesse James
waylett21
ha you are stupid.s686 special is a 686 silver pigeon s. so i am wrong and i should not have paid 1500 for it??? my gun looks exactly the same the the one in the link. i will post some photos to prove your wrong. Its not a silver pigeon, it's a special. I've got one. Either you have described it incorrectly, or the link is incorrect. A special is a special, a silver pigeon is a silver pigeon. utectok
I'm with waylet on this one didn't mean to cause a storm but if it has s686 special written on it that's what it is and admittedly they look similar and shoot the same but it's not the silver pigeon. jasons gold
Does'nt the S stand for special on the silver pigeon S might be wrong though, but still does'nt explain the 2 and three quarter inch chamber though
duck duster
Ive got a 686 special 20 bore which cost £700 new a few years ago.
mcw65
The one i have was purchesed for a cash deal less than that, and was bought before they started making silver pigeon.
viking
its just an old game gun, normaly fixed choke at 1/4 and 1/2, my mate bought one a week ago and it was 10 year old but mint, and i mean mint, £500, now as there are no photos of your its hard to say without seeing it, but thats what it sound like to me, does it look like this, and does it have a trap forend,
utectok
mind you Viking that's a lot of good gun for £500 at that pricethe make real senses since a lamber or something would cost that!
Hardwoods Green
If you post the serial number i will tell you straight away what it is and to be honest if it is an older style 686 Special 20B it wont have a trap forend it will be a semi beavertail as they all used to have them. IMHO the older Berettas are much better quality simply due to the fact that when the 686 Special was made (1984=1992 ish) they were turning out a lot less guns than they are now.
