malkiserow
great.... shots inside would be great but I guess not allowed. I go past this place everyweek and always peer in/down from the train above. The chaps there are also very very helpful on all sorts of gun matters. I have not been inside and only took these pictures with a little camera I bought from Aldi for work. They are very strict and definitely no cameras allowed past the gates for sure. It is well worth it ... even to the main reception desk
heppy
Many years ago i took my 3 shot bolt action to the proof house my self to have it stamped after welding the mag in.As remember i wrang them and made a appointment and they inspected it and stamped the gun and i got a mod certificate, think it cost £50 must have been late 80s early 90s all done in under one hour Edited February 24, 2009 by heppy
Christian Sutton
A superb piece of architecture and a fine display of British craftsmanship i just couldn't help myself from studying the detail of the Brickwork in the picture. However i did notice some strange detail maybe referring to some strange Phenoninom from the past??
GREENGRASS
I believe that back in the day the sculpture that made the crest might have cheekily left his mark. How bazaar you found this mark. You must have really good eyesight to have spotted it. Thanks for posting Christian Regards GG
shot shot
good picture, and congratulations, no halos how exactly do they "proof" in there anyways?
libs
Fire a heavier than usual load through the gun in controlled conditions. Then check for faults, flaws in the metal that would be exposed at the high pressures.
fortune82
I think you can book tours around the proof house. A guy I know organised one for his clay pigeon shooting club.
