pigeon master
Guy's just a little tip, which was posted to me by Dunganick. Dont let blood get near your barrel or stock of a rifle. I'm not sure if all rifles are prone to this staining but my SAKO rimmy is and its made a bit of a mess. No problems with the Beretta Shotgun but the rifle has now got staining on the stock :< Not happy with SAKO. The PM

gibby
The blood will corode the barrels of most rifles and shotguns.
highdowns hunter
P M I dont know about the blood problem, But i would have thought that lying your rifle in the snow for a photo, wouldnt do the polish much good either.

pigeon master
HH, your right there mate, the stock has changed colour in few places but hey, It'll remind me of the day in years to come. I dont think I'll be doing that again, used to rifles that are a bit more robust than the Sako rimmy. The PM

Maverick 234
I also got blood on the barrel of my Umarex 850 Air Magnum by finishing off a large rat at point blank range - the paint has been stripped in several places - didn't realise rat blood was that corrosive!!
