markm
I have noticed quiet a few people selling their guns which are in good nick and less than a year old for around 85 - 90 % of their current new cost, if you buy from new your the first owner (new gun smell), you have comeback direct with the shop / dealer and you often get something chucked in anyway (sleeve, cartidges, boresnakes etc etc). These guns don't seem to sell (unless down via PM). With cars, in a year you would lose significantly more. Would you pay that much for one or just buy new if you were in the market? Lloyd90
If there asking for about 90% of the original price I think you might aswell buy new and have the guarantee that your guns not screwed plus with new like you said you can get a slip n some stuff thrown in Although not all second hand sales are like that, there are some good deals to be had out there
njc110381
I think 75% of the new price is reasonable if the gun is as new. Anyhting past that is worth trying for but I wouldn't expect to get it. We all want the best price possible, and I think prices like that are assumed to be bargained over anyway! markm
Although not all second hand sales are like that, there are some good deals to be had out there I agree, on saturday I bought a beretta Urika 1 synthetic off airgunbbs, I would describe it as 'being in excellent condition' or 9.5/10. Cost me £525. The new model (and there is not much difference) will cost approx £1K, therefore I got for approx 1/2 price. But then you get others ones on here for £900 + which is a saving less than the VAT costs.

I agree, just bought my first gun from a small firearms dealer and paid 75% of the new price for a gun thats fired a box of carts.
Jurrasicway
I am also keeping my eyes open for a left hand beretta silver pigeon. The ones I see are either so expensive I might as well buy new or so cheap they seem too good to be true (I think that they might just be rusty old nails..) I am sure the right one will appear soon if I hold out long enough.
