Newsportshooter
Just means illumintaed reitcule (ie cross hairs) this is a bit of a gimmic on cheaper scopes as although the reticule lights up (selectable on/off red/green etc) and is nice an visable in low light, it does not enhance the sight picture and in some circumstances does the opposit as the light from the reticule effects your night vision rendering you less likely to be able to pick out quarry in low light conditions. Baldrick
Spend the maximum you can afford. Consider buying second-hand. Chinese-made rubbish, bristling in 'tactical' features, is a waste of your money.
Warlock
Spotted them and in the market for a new scope didn`t know what they were like in practical use. would be mounted on a .17hrm and a .22lr.
Newsportshooter
If money is an object then go for a hawke or such like not a lot more money than your looking on the link - Walthers are good but the one your looking at looks like a cheap copy of Asian origin and will probably fall to bits Edited March 22, 2009 by Newsportshooter
Ozzy Fudd
if you can find zos scopes on ebay give them a shot, they are the official manufacturers of scopes for the chinese army. i use one on my 10/22 (3 - 9 illuminated, had a hawke and it was ****, i gave it away!) and my mate uses one on a .223 (6-24 illuminated). theyre cheap and good quality - the gunshop didnt even try to flog him another scope when he got his .223 once they saw the one he had! Baldrick
That is a dangerous comment around here Baldrick LOL. But still, very true. You will be re-crowning guns with ball bearings next I think you mean considering re-crowning with ball bearings.... Said rifle is now being rebarrelled.
