how old is the pup .. breed etc ?

if the pup has been weened off is mother correctly ( and i mean over a period of time not just lifted off her at last minute ) and is fed a correct diet them you shouldnt need to give it any ( unless advised to by a vet for medical reasons etc )

giving a dog extra supplements at an early age can be very damaging for it .... ive known people to give pups extra calcium tablets to pups to help bones etc only for it to have the wrong effect ... causing the bones to grow too big to quickly and cause joint probs at a very early age ( before the pup was 2 !!! )

if u want to tailor its diet more then look at the barf diet ... can always add extra stuff in if its needed at any atage with the barf diet ( or take it away for that matter )

will adding some RAW fresh beef mince to this do her any harm at this young age .

Your pup looks wobbly on its back legs because it is in fact still a......PUP!

Before you go deciding to change the pups food have a look at its stools (i.e. its 5h1te) what you want is nice dry round *****, not scuttery brown pools of diarrohea. ***** that you would be proud to lay yourself!

How do you know its a bit underweight, are its ribs sticking out through its sides? is it eating its food? have you brought it to the vet?

yes deeks - on last visit to vet said a little under weight ,but not too worry , its prob because she never stops moving .

****e is Aok .

i,m not trying to fatten her up -- by the way <_< , slim is good . she is in good condition in my opinion , i,m trying just give her the best nutrition for growth i can ie protecting those joints and ligaments

she,s not a keen eater , probably well board with dried and gravy will try a few tins of sardines a week in oil , and maybe some raw mince on its own .

mince won't do any harm as a supplement, might be worth getting a decent brand of tinned food to moisten the chudleys. Its what mine has and when you have a breed you need to get to eat plenty to keep weight on it works well. Also mine has her food left down all day and just topped up in the evening, fine if your dog isn't greedy and takes a bit of the excitement out of feeding time and stops them bolting food. obviously doesn't work with fat labs
