mrthumb
Hi guys, i have just got my FAC and a trusty ruger 10/22. iv had few air rifles before that and a logun s-16 and done loads of rabbiting up my 1 acre garden and field behind my house. shot at Bisley for Wiltshire in cadets too but with my new FAC i wont get permission for this area (foot paths, horses in field etc) and im looking for a place to shoot (and my mate as well) the difference is, we want to offer a service in return. me and my friend are adapt at repairing computer hardware and software problems at a professional level. We will fix your PC labor free, supply parts and give you the best advice you need. we just want a safe place to shoot small game of your choice, or a place to go plinking. were both in our mid/late 20's and not cowboys. he still works at a computer repair company and i used to work there but moved onto engineering now- i weld/fabricate parts for outside broadcasting vehicles, trailers, coaches etc. (wish i stayed in computers now!) my friend is also linked to a car tuning firm called mtec automotive. he takes part in electrical installations on cars, mapping ECU's, does power runs etc. prehaps he could offer you something in that area also.. we live in between Wiltshire and somerset. so if your p*ssed off with pc's and got more acres of land than gigabytes let me know. thanks, Tom. Marine1980
Sorry to be negative but how did you get an FAC with no land? Royal
mrthumb
good question, the answer is im a member of 2 shooting clubs. this on its own is enjoyable but shooting small game is more interesting and more liberating than the confinements of the range. and markbivvy, yea its a shame. allways the way though. **** law they call it? i forgot to mention we also have shotguns, and used them for years but prefer the ruger! Marine1980
I may not be correct but you may find that you have a closed FAC which only allows you to shoot on controlled club ranges. You may find it more difficult to get it open as its not as controlled. Best of luck anyway Royal
mrthumb
yep thats right, i can only shoot on a range. but if i had permission to shoot on land then i can have vermin put on my ticket along with a addition to my restrictions to shoot on that persons land. mrthumb
bump? my offer still stands guys. Verminer has been kind enough to allow me to participate in his shooting on land he has permission on, but police are still pushing for me to have actual permission from a land owner in some shape or form. welshwarrior
Have you tried Salisbury plain military training area I used to have 'Potters rights' given by local range control I think for Pigeon shooting. Not sure if they allow rabbits tho. Good luck to you. Edited April 20, 2009 by welshwarrior

notsosureshot
Thread resurrection ftw. To the OP. No offence, but if you repair PC's using welds, you aint coming near mine! Edited July 21, 2009 by notsosureshot
steve0146
I do have hunting rights on salisbury plain and i'm sure the potters rights went out years ago. Shooting is heavily restricted now. The plain is the same size as the isle of wight and only one small syndicate shoot it!!
