Harnser
Hero , If you mean calibre ,then i would reccomend the .308 . The .308 is a very versatile round and can be used with lots of different bullet weights and is suitable for shooting foxes right up to big red stags . If you mean make of rifle than any of the major makers will do , Remington 700 ,tika ,cz ,ruger ,browning ,ect, ect . They will all shoot tight enough groups for stalking . But some are more expensive than others . Harnser .
njc110381
I'd go for a CZ 550 American. Cheap, well made and accurate. Spend what you have left on a good secnd hand scope. As for calibre, 6.5x55 would be my choice for woodland use.
steve_b_wales
Tikka T3 Lite. .243 or .
The Burpster
+1 for the Tikka in .243 or 6.5x55mm
Mungler
Can't go wrong with a tikka. But if your £900 is for rifle only then the gun world is your oyster.
