willbick
when i fit my scope to my gun and i centre the dials and shoot at a target from about 10 yards, its miles out - like at least a foot or two high and to the right. to get it on target i have to turn the dials until they are basically right at the end of the scale. anyone know why this might be the case? and is there any way to solve the problem? ta
Ozzie2108
Hi there, Is it a newly purchased scope or have you removed an existing one and put it back on again?
realtreedave
sounds like your scope is centred for a firearm instead of an air rifle and your mounts are off centre.to sort the mounts on an air rifle first try turning them around so the clamp is on the other side,if this throws your point of aim off the same distance to the left try turning just one mount round[a bit of experimenting may be needed to figure out which one ].this only works with air rifles due to the short rages involved.as for sorting out the elevation try shimming the scope in the rear mount[insulation tape, film negatives, cut up coke tins or plastic packaging can be used],add one shim at a time until you achieve the desired result

Zapp
as for sorting out the elevation try shimming the scope in the rear mount[insulation tape, film negatives, cut up coke tins or plastic packaging can be used],add one shim at a time until you achieve the desired result  Do the above. I bought a Titan Mowhawk nearly 20 years ago that had a miscut scope rail (I still use it today!). The only way I could get the scope to a "zeroable" point was to shim the hell out of it.
