Which cartridge

Hi David,

I use Lyvale Express Game, No 6 shot. These are used for Crows, Pigeons and Jackdaw's. I buy them because they are an excellent cartridge, in my opinion, and they are reasonably priced.

I tried some Kent Velocity (fibre) for the first time yesterday cos my friend bought them - apparently they were very cheap! I thought they were great, not too hard either, which suprised me as I usually shoot 20bore. I usually hate using 12gauge, but for some reason these were perfect for me.

Hull for me - shot all sorts and keep coming back to Hull Intercomps in 24g 8's for the clays and High Pheasant for game. Usually stick to Gamebore clear pigeon for the pigeons though, simply because I can get them easily locally and at short notice if I suddenly find I'm in a hot spot ;o)

Clays - Gamebore Blue Diamond 28gram 7.5's

Rough/Pigeon - Gamebore Clear Pigeon 30gram 6's

PSG - Anything i can get my hands on! (Normally RFD brand 7's)

eley real trea 6.5 30 gr for vermin and remington super steel 3 3" 34 gram for wildfowling and eley first 28 gram 7 for clays and gamebore buffalo 4 for hares and rabbits

for clays i use hull soverign (just because i get them free from work) 7.5 for trap and 9 for skeet. if i'm paying i buy whatevers cheep usually rio targets or gamebore super steel.

 

for game i use eley HB PIGEON.32g 61/2. i have tried the eley realtree ones 30g 6 1/2 and wasn'r too impressed really. the only good thing about them was the carry handle on the box.
