Ninj
Assuming rifle........... Reloading Solutions - Very good Sportsman Gun Centre - if you can stomach the appaling service Bushwear - Not used them Tim Hannam - Very good SmartReloader - Not used MidwayUK - Very good, but note delivery is from US, normally around 6-7 days Henry Kranks - Never had anything I wanted in stock Edited April 4, 2009 by Ninj
alexm
Does anyone know how often SmartReloader get new stock in? They have a great website, and ordering online is so convenient etc.... however it seems many of the most popular items (anything in .223/.308/.243) are permanently "Sold Out". njc110381
I'm pretty p***** off with the sportsman ATM. I ordered a load of stuff from them (reloading stuff in fact) and only half of it turned up. No note, no receipt, nothing. I had to ring them to be told that the rest of the stuff isn't in stock and they're waiting for it. I feel they should have told me before billing me that they didn't have it all. I would have bought it somewhere else if I'd have known as I can't use my rifle until it gets here

I would have bought it somewhere else if I'd have known as I can't use my rifle until it gets here This is one of my bugbears too! I placed an order with bushwear for various bits and pieces and it arrived in 4 different consignments over a period of 3 months!!! You can sympathise with the smaller retailers, especially with reloading gear, because it is so diverse everyone wants something different (apart from .223/.243/.308 die it seems!) so they can't carry too much stock or they will have £££ tied up in stock that doesn't move. BUT... It should be law that you have to make clear which items are out of stock! (Yes I know we can just ring up and ask.... but that means having to to talk to people and defeats the whole ethos of onlone shopping! ) It's one of the reasons I use MidwayUK so much... it says what is available from stock, and those that aren't in stock it gives an estimate of when they WILL be in stock. It's worth the extra few days wait, for me at least, to know which items are being delivered in stock. Ok, the parcel tracking (with Parcelfarce) is useless, no information comes up until it is basically delivered.... however they have never let me down and they have the most diverse stock. Ninj
Yup I have to say I cannot for the life of me see how Sportsman got where they are with such continued cr4p service. Had to contact them on several occasions to chase things up. Beware, the website does not show stock at all. Just because you can order it and subsequently pay for it incidentally (which is a big no-no), it doesn't mean it's in stock. They claim to have no automated *** at all and it's manual! Beggars belief with a company with such a big setup. Also total luck of the draw who you speak to, some of them really are dreadful.

steve_b_wales
Sportsman Newport? May as well call it LITTS for all the poor service, bad advice, wrong stuff sold you, attitude, etc etc etc. On the other hand, Their shop in Exeter is brilliant in my opinion. I speak as I find, and I have never has poor service off them.

Rem223
I used to get all my swag from Wilson & Wilson Fieldsports in Ramsgate 01843 821162. The proprieter can go on a bit but he usually has a good stock of powders, ammuntion and spares.
