Flashman
I'm considering buying an AYA 25 and wondered if anybody owns or uses this model and wishes to share their thoughts. As one not blessed with decent eyesight, I tend to see birds late (or not at all). I use a 28" Beretta (which is fine) and am toying with buying the AYA as a field gun, as it's easier to swing and catch up the bird if it's on me before I see it. Thoughts, comments? wymberley
Hi, I've had 2; one boxlock and one sidelock. Now I'm lucky enough to own the original version by EJ Churchill, an easy opening Regal. Get one but be careful. They are very fast, particularly the boxlock - you could end up missing in front. If the Beretta "is fine", why change though, better the devil you know. I heard that they are great for puffin / penguin and peacock, you'll be fine !

Did yours eject spent shells into the next county?

wymberley
Yes, Tosspot, but I had the simple modification devised by Gough Thomas done whereby you can selectively inhibit the ejectors.
Greenhunter
Sold mine (regretfully) last year as it got too painful for me to shoot it. Nothing wrong wth the gun but can't say that about me. It was a Special with decent engraving and loads or its original colour. Perhaps, more importantly, it was a dream to shoot in the field.Like as has been said, they are very quick though.
