Marcus
Just been reading the CPSA site, and i'm a little unclear of the cover that would be given if I joined. Under - The operative Time it says...... Whilst undertaking any authorised or recognised activity of the Association (CPSA) as detailed below it then goes on to say............. Notes All Legal and Recreational Shotgun Sports including the following: Clay target shooting Game shooting Rough shooting Wild-fowling Vermin control Rifle shooting (including stalking) Hunting (including Falconry) Angling (including Wading) Cover excludes Combat and Practical shooting, Equestrian mounted sports. Sea, Lake, River, Reservoir and Estuary Fishing from a boat/ship etc. As I read it, the insurance covers the above activites, but only if it is organised by the CPSA Have I read it right? The reason I ask is at some point I would like to do some shooting on farmers land etc, would I be covered by the CPSA insurance in these circumstances ? GStrider
I'm pretty sure that if you just want to shoot game or open events then a clubman membership insures you for injury even if you are in a farmers field. However if you want to shoot CPSA competition then you will need a full membership.
Catamong
You've read it wrong, of course the CPSA don't organise Wildfowling or Angling, but as a CPSA member you are covered whilst undertaking those activities, including rough shooting. You won't get much out of the CPSA if you don't intend to shoot competitively, consider BASC if you are more into rough shooting. Cat. Marcus
Thanks for your replies. Im only looking to join an association for the insurance cover really. What are the other benefits of membership, apart from the good they do for the sport in general?
