Just been flicking through the BBC website looking at results from other events and halfway down a report entitled: "England win archery silver" I find 1 sentence about the men pairs trap: "Aaron Heading and David Kirk weighed in with a third English shooting medal, claiming bronze in the men's trap pairs" If I had not been flicking through other sport results I would never have known about it.

Another Gold by Stevan Walton in the individual Double Trap and this was the extent of the BBC's report on the event. "England's Stevan Walton won a shooting gold in the double trap individual with India's Ronja Sodhi taking silver and Isle of Man's Timothy Kneale bronze." So 1/4 of all English Golds thus far and basically no coverage.

Scott and Walton have won the Double trap pairs but no pictures yet.

Where in Goodwood is the ground and when do they shoot. I didn't realise that they still did sporting shoots over there.

There is Faulds ground - Owls lodge near Andover which is open Tuesday and Thursday midweek.

My first sporting of the year today over 7 stands at Fareham. Had a very poor start but finished off getting 20/22 on the last 3 stands to finish on a personal best 32/50 joint 2nd in B when I left with about 3 others on the same score but I am unlikely to stay there.

I was using a mixture of Kents aswell as Eley Olympics today for sporting. I found that the Kents have more kick but they both seemed to kill just as well. I didn't find that I was havnig to give more leed on one or the other.

Does any one know where the screws are on a Miroku MK38 grade 1 trap. Thanks in advance.

There is one in Emsworth and also Gosport but I have been to neither, I only really go to Fareham which has a open sporting once a month check their website for dates. http://www.farehamctc.org.uk/default.htm

Fareham is on so will be there instead as it is easier to get to.

I would recommend coming to the next Fareham Clay Target Club DTL shoot. There is one on June 27th and another on July 25th. At the end of the registered shoot (usually just after 2:00 - 2:30 but can be later depending on entries) there is the opportunity for open practice. If you ask at the desk for someonee to help you out and give you a lesson after the competion they will arrange for someone to go to the range with you and tell you what you are doing wrong. They will be no charge as most people at the club are just happy to help people improve and there is always someone from the Hampshire DTL team happy to help out. You could come along and shoot the registered competition, entries close 10:15, then have a practice when it finishes or phone 01329 832335 on the shoot day after 10:15 to see how many entries there have been and what time it is likely to finish and the just ask at the desk before the competition finishes for practice with someone to come along and help. Dissapointing DTL at Fareham today only scoring 87-259. Also don't know if anyone saw the Pull article on Doug Summerbee well he came very close to winning the Fareham Club Skeet championship again. The 87 year old shot a 98 today using his 20 bore but lost it in the shoot-off. Still very good shooting from the old chap.

Managed to just stay in C for DTL by 1% which is nice now that I am getting 270s and 280s I could improve on my only second in C Strider

Owls Lodge near andover has some good shoots run by Richard Faulds

I only shoot trap really so its 24g Eley Blues First barrel and 28g Eley Olympics second barrel 7.5s unless doing OT when it is 24s in both using 3/4 and full.

Shot the Hampshire OT at Owls Lodge on Saturday had a poor first two rounds leaving me on a 63 overall. Very nice ground and also a very good open sporting shoot. Well done Richard and Tanya Faulds on setting up a new good ground in the South. Graham

Got 24/50 at Fareham Open sporting with my trap gun. Not too unhappy with that.
