arjimlad
That is unusual - mostly these had a rifled barrel under the shotgun ones. I suspect yours has been converted to a smoothbore .410 from something else. There seem to be sights on the barrel which would confirm this also. Very interesting ! Keep us posted. the last engineer
Have to say im a jealous puppy right now looking at that fine example ,always wanted a drilling, still looking , i recall seing one that had been brought back from the desert WW2 ,stuka pilots aparently carried them in the event they were shot down , sxs 12 gauge over a 7.65 if memory serves . good looking weapon ( tool for the politicaly correct ). found these examples but not over a .410 calibre ,maybe an inquiry here will proove fruitful ,good luck in the reno BTMS . http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976372833.htm http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976550887.htm http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976569595.htm Martin

dodeer
Out of interest how much did it cost you? You could possibly make a hell of a profit depending on what it cost you.

Devilishdave
Jammie ******. You have mee on the look for a project now!! My thought of these types of gun was for shooting the odd Boar, dear or fox whilst out shooting. I beleive these combination guns were particularly popular in europe. Good luck with it m8 it looks good Dave
BTMS
Original use was I believe for boar. Waiting for a german friend to decipher the German on the Gun and work out the proofing? Should not have a problem with the FLO I hope read nothing to say I can not have it on my cert, but willing to listen if anybody knows different. Hammergun if you read this can you recommend any decent books on the subject and restoration? Thanks to all Brian now where can I get some black powder carts? Devilishdave
Yeh cant see a problem having it on your ticket with all barrels being bored for shotgun ammo. You would need FAC if you were to use single slug which I am guessing the .410 tube was originaly intended for whatever bore it started out as. josh
looks like a nice gun you got there mate. a good find. They still use a more modern version of these combination type guns a lot in france and probably the rest of europe, as they do mostly rough shooting and like to have the option to use rifle or shotty on the various quarry they shoot out there. IMO the bottom barrrel has almost certainly been converted from a large caliber rifle. good luck with it josh
