Fisherman Mike
I know we have been saturated with racing tips in the last couple of months what with Cheltenham and Aintree but there is a horse running tomorrow in which I have a small interest. Its called Horcott Bay and runs in the second race at Exeter. The trainer Mark Rimell says it is fit and could go well. It has run a couple of sound races at Towcester which is a notoriously hard course for a novice so Exeter should be a bit easier for it. I cant guarantee a place but If I didnt put it up and it came in you would all be pretty ******. I shall be having a small stake as there are a couple in the race which I followed this year and I shall stick with them. I wont be at the course but a couple of the syndicate members will. I shall speak to the boss man tomorrow and post up the news before lunchtime before anyone backs it After this its all quiet until I get some serious information again Should be about 7 or 8 to 1 Fingers crossed. Fisherman Mike
Update..... Trainer very hopeful, Trip and track should suit, not much in the race with any experience, track not as testing as Towcester where he has run the last three times, horse has been working well with other winners in yard has advised small ew stake. Fisherman Mike
I have a 1/4 of a quater stake in the horse. (about one hoof ) but I have only stuck a couple of quid each way. I cant see it beating the favourite....I backed it at 100 to 1 when it was second at Towcester earlier in the year. One of the partnership has gone £250 ew but then again his wife would spend that on a weekends shopping trip. This is the last from me for a while as I hate summer jumping and the Flat racing.... Lets hope we go out with a return.. FM

Fisherman Mike
Twiston-Davis won the bumper at Aintree 50/1 shot :*) Dont remind me it was owned by a partnership one of which is a wealthy Lady in the village of my parents Near Cirencester who actually told him to back it !!! When she saw him on one of his walks.... Did he tell me what do you think......

Sorry guys.. :*) No more tips from me until I get a Nailed on Bonker

Fisherman Mike
P.s. Mike, are you on a commision with my internt betting shop? I wish..... Thats the third month in a row that Ive not made some money out of my Bookmaker. I follow the same horses throughout the season probably about 20 or 30 from 4 different stables. Each bet is recorded and I normally back the horse to win at least twice my stake. If it loses I double up next time until Ive got my money back plus at least twice the accumulated stake. When the horse wins after a losing sequence. I normally dont back it again if it wins first time up for me I will follow it until it loses. On the assumption that the horses I pick to follow are all future winners at some stage in the season this is normally profitable through a 12 month cycle. if you pick the stable and owners carefully the horses normally return or they are out at the end of the season. The most successful horse for me in recent years was Edredon Bleu which won me over £1500 quid in one season. The most I have ever won on a single bet is on a horse called Groomsman in the mid 90,s it ran at Cheltenham at an evening meeting and beat a odds on shot at 66 to 1. It had run several times previously and not won. The stake that day was £50 ew I won just over £4125.50.... The horse never ran again it severed a leg on the gallops on buried plough shear and was put down. I had an account with a leading Bookmaker 2 years ago and was well on top after 4 months.... they sent me a cheque in the post and closed it for no reason. I think they had worked out that I had a system which was potentially successful. This season I am exactly £758.56 in credit. Last year I won £ 1276.87 The year before £566.98 I must be honest it is very hard for a racing fan like me to be ruthlessly singleminded and abstain from betting other than on the 20 horses I follow each year... but it can be profitable.... I very rarely do multiple bets even when 2 or three of the horses are running on the same day. I have made 3 losses of - £237.78 and £ 345.00 and £256 .00 in the last 10 years. All this of course is tax free. I dont generally follow the flat racing..... its bent as a tube of cornflakes. My year will end with the evening meeting at Cheltenham on the 27th. One of my chosen horses Runs later this week at Cheltenham It has won me £285 so far.... BUT IM NOT GOING TO TELL YOU WHAT IT IS CALLED ! cus it will put the mockers on it. Cheers. FM.
