jimdfish
There have been some changes in the fish household and one of them is that I was made redundant in January. One positive outcome from this is that I have had more time to sit in the garden and watch the world go by and watch nature in all its finery. We have a very healthy sparrow population in my garden and I feel I have provided them with the perfect habitat by doing as little as possible in the garden. Bloody good excuse and I am sticking to it.Posted is a pic of the first fledgling sparrow to fall out of my eaves and onto the fence panel. Also posted is the solution to the conundrum; Where have all the pigeons gone. In my flamin' garden thats where!
Cranfield
You should consider renting out the shooting rights, could be a nice little earner.
Mungler
Is there such a thing as pigeon fighting? Could be a nice cash earner.

Put a larson trap in my garden alongside local allotments, caught 8 magpies and now the sparrow population has gone through the roof (and nesting in it). Dont know about leaving the gardening though, the little **** have a go at everything i try to grow. At the moment to protect my veg i am using bribery and putting fat balls in those peanut feeding mesh tubes. Would love the pigeons to turn up with a good backstop like in your pic. Got to learn to post pics (and take them) Edited May 15, 2009 by hambone
