rabbithunter
I had one a while ago and sold it should of kept it. Used it four times and each time we called a fox in with it and as blackbart said yes a lot of money for a caller but they do the job well . Lloyd90
And you can turn it on and off or up and down from 300 yards away or change the call ? obviously not! But that's what you get for £30 rather than £450. Id rather spend the £30 ANYDAY! Thinking of making my own aswell man. Got any plans ? Maybe a list of things I need n if you know where to get them that would be really appreciated
steve_b_wales
I use a callmaster with two different chips. The rabbit sounds are brilliant, together with a variety of other ones.

Well with like most things you get what you pay for. If you want to pay £450 and get a machine that you can place in a good spot and then sit up and overlook that spot then go for it. If you don't mind spending £30 and calling them in to where you are standing then go for it Just because its 15 times the cost doesn't necessarily mean its better. If you downloaded the exact same sounds for the homemade one then apart from using it from 300m away there on par imo. Obviously it won't have the fancy features off the Foxpro. I shall be consulting my cousin n buying the parts needed and will post up a thread in the DIY section on how it goes if anyone else is interested in making there own one Thanks very much bunny bagger for the list of parts needed

I never said it was "better" i just said that i don't think its worth spending that sort of money on a caller. Mine has called in lots of Foxes and I'm sure the expensive units have aswell, its just personal preference and how deep your pockets are.
