dunganick
He should pay for it, he's done the wrong thing here not the caravan owners (ok maybe assault isnt the right solution, but if someone who was drunk drove into your house/caravan which could potentially have your kids/family in it i doubt you would be too happy) He should pay for the damage he has caused and leave it at that. Im also amazed you could write off a lexus by hitting a caravan.
Dr W
Doesn't really matter that the caravan is worth less than £1,000 what about the inconvenience and hassle that he caused to the family on their holiday. We were camping on a site a few years back and a couple of polish farm labourers got drunk and decided to go for a drive amongst the tents, can you imagine what would have happened if he'd skidded and driven through a tent. Thankfully they were promptly sacked and escorted off the site the next morning. Your friend is a lucky f'in idiot, could have been a lot worse
MC
There is only one word to sum your mate up, and that rhymes with anchor. No sympathy or advice, the T W A T should pay up and look big even if he is an idiot. The kicking was what he deserved and then some more. You can hardly balme the car owner who was sleeping at the time for not looking after his keys.
Chard
Still sounds a bit *****-ish to me What's a "public site"? Is it a public ***** site? If it's anything else, I can't understand why the Police would treat drunk driving, damage to property and scrapping as a civil matter And for what it's worth, I can't see how he could be surprised at what happened to him. He got off light Edited May 18, 2009 by Chard
