buying new guns

When you buy a new gun will the gun shop notify the gun shop or fo you have to notify then yourself ?

In one gunshop I bought my first shotty they notified them and said I didnt have to but I was thinking

and where I got my rifle was different so Im not sure If I need to :( Im hoping im ok but

just windering as if not better get onto the FEO asap :lol:

They notify there authority, you notify yours.

 

Just cover your self as much as you can because as I am sure you are already aware its a big tut tut if they inspect and you have guns they don't know about, even if they are written on your ticket!

Hmm see the 1 shop notified them for me n told me I did not need to! Seems its not the same for them all. Will notify them asap then. Hope I won't get into trouble for this :yes:

Oh god feel bad now :( Genuine mistake. Hope it wont be help against me :lol:

I wish there was a way to check online what their records show, as they never acknowledge receipt.

It would be a good idea. N save situations like mine occuring. Oh well I can't undo it now. Hopefully they will undertand! :(

I notify the FEO by fax, so that I get a delivery confirmation. The police will not accept any form of notification that doesn't have your signature on it.

 

Weldon gun room fill out the form,get you to sign it and then send it to the firearms dept :( Other places i have bought from done nothing like that and just send their bit in i presume.

 

If you dont know for sure i would get a letter into them asap.
