stumacher
Hi peeps! Im thinking about buying my first semi auto, i like the look of the winchester sx3. i would manly use it for clays but also the odd bit of crow bashing. But i wondered if anyone new what the difference was between the sx3 composite and the sx3 flanigun apart from the red coloured action? thanks . Guest topshot_2k
SX3 composite is only available in 3.5" super magnum (in the UK) the flanigan is 3" chamber and pretty much the same as any sx3 with a few minor changes such as the grips, anodising etc
stumacher
If there only available in 3.5 does that mean you need a fac section 1 ? as the gun would be able to hold more than 3 cartridges. or would it ownly take 3.5 cartridges? Hunting_Bunnies
Can only comment on the SX3 Field which I collected last week and can say as a first semi-auto I am very impressed so far. Anything in particular you'd like to know about SX3's in general? HB

wiggy1234567
I have an SX3 Flanigun 12 shot version - a little extreme for Pigeon shooting I know, but my god it looks the business! All I can say to you is GET ONE WHILE YOU CAN!
perfect
I have an SX3 absolutely brilliant gun cant fault it, buy one. PS its the composite version Edited May 30, 2009 by perfect
hkrobin
3.5" chambers don't need a FAC as it's your responsibility to not put more than 3 rounds in them, which is exactly the same as 3" chambers. 3"x2=6" and 2"x3=6. I doubt a semi would cycle 2" shells properly anyway (even if you could find them in 12g), I know my Mossberg .410 doesn't.

stumacher
in the reviews they all seem to say 'that there just something about the flanigun' that makes it beter than the standard gun. just wish i new what that was to justify the extra money apart from that awesome bling factor! Guest topshot_2k
Check out the beretta xtrema 2 before you buy a winchester, why? The Winchester is very well built, faster loading, lighter and cheaper
