Visiting local 'keeper

Depends on why you're 'visiting'.

If you don't know him, and you're asking for shooting then no time is a good time.

If you're offering help in return for shooting, then no time is a good time.

However, if you're offering help full stop, then anytime would be a good time.

(The shooting would naturally follow by invitation when you've earned his trust and shown that you're not just a 'chancer'.)

Maybe not all 'keepers would act as above....maybe it's just me...... :look:

Cheers.

I bumped into the keepers wife whilst patrolling an area of fields that are being targeted by rogue metal detectorists. Had a little chat about this and that, and mentioned that I had spotted a few fields getting a bashing from the woodies. Raised the question of shooting the pigeon, and she told me to pop by the house some time to speak to him.........I forgot to ask when was a good time!! I dont want to interrupt him when he is busy.

Don't forget your bottle either..... That normally goes along way too.
