andy33
Looking to purchase a CZ American 452 ( 17hmr ) in the next month or so, so started to take a look at prices ( new ) i'm looking at a 16" barrel, wood stock standard gun readyy to take a moderator. After looking on guntrader i thought there was a pretty big price variation so was wondering if anybody was willing to recommend some where, not to worried about travelling if the price is right. Cheers Andy.
willy1
Be wary of cheap new ones, they could be "grey" imports,ie, not bought in by Edgar Brothers, and only have one years warranty, instead of three given by EB, also,if it goes "wrong",you may have a problem getting it repaired.Prices for CZ's have gone up twice this year,I bought a Style three months ago and the price has gone up by £50. Highlander
My advice to anyone buying a gun is find a (local) firearms dealer preferably a gunsmith not just a shopkeeper and talk with them about it. Buy the gun from them at the best price you can get and use them for your ammo and accessories. OK you may pay a bit more but if you build a relationship (and I don’t mean one of the Ethics Mafia type relationships) when you need the odd bit of help, repair etc etc it’ll probably work in your favour. OR you can go through the Internet or search the pages of any of the shooting magazines and buy cheaper, anonymously and maybe get a good deal, or maybe not but then you could come on here and moan about it! mr smith
Cheaper ones may be old stock that some shops have, selling them at the old price rather than mark up to what the newer ones are.

Admiral Von Tirpitz
After many months of wondering what gun to get, I decided on a CZ American last summer and made plenty of enquiries on not just price but also the knowledge of the dealer and went to F A Anderson in East Grinstead in Sussex www.faanderson.co.uk They had an excellent selection of guns and scopes. Also fitted me up with the scope and silencer whilst I had a browse up the high street, think I left home in Suffolk, mid day and was back home with the gun ready for zero trageting by 6pm, well worth the trip, very professional outfit and aftersales. Give them a try! Admiral
