Peter De La Mare
Ya, close left (assuming right handed) eye after you've clocked the bird and established speed etc. I close left eye as the gun touches my cheek just before pulling the trigger. leaseone
Me 2, close the eye as you mount
wymberley
Hi, again, The only sure way to correct this problem is to learn to shoot from the dominant eye shoulder. Remembering to shut one eye, blink, squint or **** as you mount the gun means just one thing --- sooner or later and as often as not, you'll forget. Assuming your gun fits correctly (see what Clayman has to say in your original topic), have another look at what I suggested. Honest, it works for me. Glasses will steam up for either/or/both of two reasons: 1. Your glasses are too close to your face or, 2. you are wearing a face mask or a brimmed hat low over your eyes. Both of these prevent the normal airflow which helps to dissipate the vapour when breathing. Goodluck

Not so. This routine is part of my sub concious now, it's like breathing.

Raja Clavata
Hello, I tried this, did feel a bit weird but the main problem I had was getting the gun moving on birds moving left to right. Probably needed to persist with it more. Taking the concept further, would there be any problem using an attachment, say towards the end of the forend, which did the same function? Or would this be unacceptable under CPSA rules? (not that that would necessarily bother me)... Thanks Raja
