First time after the bunnies...

Had my first trip out after the bunnies last week. I'm relatively new to shooting, having spent the last 32 years fishing I've only recently got my first shotgun and although I'm currently limited to vermin of the clay variety I'm keen to get see all sides of the sport. One of the guys down at the clay shooting club offered to take me out for an evenings bunny shooting, I thought I'd just be watching but he let me have a try with his .17 rimfire and I have to say I'm hooked. Now although I only got to shoot 3 or 4 of these I did have to gut half of them as 'payback'. Two are skinned and in the freezer, I'm planning on a Thai green bunny curry later this week!

Not bad for an evenings work I thought. :good:

Thanks for the comments. As for getting a gun, well, I figure I can hit the ground running if I start with an air rifle for now, I think getting permission for my shotty is going to be a lot harder to find, and there are some avenues locally that I'm going to be following up. Fingers crossed it'll all come good on one of them. I'm also buying Mallets Harrier X off him, not sure if that gun is good for vermin bashing, but the reviews certainly make me think its going to be okay. I'm going to need to do a fair old bit of paper punching first to get to grips with it.
