Ackley
That's no more unbelievable than your "400 yard blowing hooley fox shot" or "7 beasts in snow"....... Why is this such a problem for you get your facts right sun shine,I harvested 18 beasts in the snow over 2 days I did miss 5 though, and they were the close ones Oh the fox shot was witnessed  who said it was 400 yards satifying to be able to shoot isnt it Edited July 21, 2009 by Ackley

Why is this such a problem for you Give it a rest Gixer. I think the fight is over for now. Is it a Scottish. A well known and respected (?) dogman from Scotland can't give SACS bashing a rest since he fell out with them. And before I get flamed for having a go at the Scots, I was born in Aberdeen so I'm entitled to. And I've witnessed Pete shoot a 300 yard fox in a hooley, so  :good:  Yah Boo Sucks!! Tommo
why's that then? I know its more hassle when the guts get pierced, but nothing you cant wash off? Not meaning to deflect the arguement in hand, but Wannabefisher - the stomach of any mammal contains a huge amount of bacteria, to name a two - E-coli and Clostridium perfringens. The time it takes for meat to be tainted by rumen contents is the matter of seconds. Wash it off if you like but the actual particles of bacteria that can do you real harm will have already be absorbed into the meat. To wash down any carcass is again something of a questionable action. Anyone who shoots a lot of deer for selling to dealers will tell you the best way to clean the inside of a carcass will be to pad it out with paper towel (kitchen town is best l find) that way everything is soaked up, not washed through the rest of the body cavity/neck infecting other areas with potential life threatening consequences. Then obviously anything that is coated in stomach contents should be completely cut away and disregarded. Tom
