blackbird
What would I be looking at paying for a trained/part trained spaniel, I dont want any thing to fancy just a dog for rough shooting (headge bashing & retriving) also where is the best place to look for dogs on the net (not XNXX etc). MC
Somewhere between £1500 - £2000 at a guess, Anything less and there is usually something wrong with them.
gdunc
Agree with MC on the monies, though an older dog could be considerably cheaper. Try UKGundogs.org, gundogfinder.com or sportinggundogs.com for your search Edited July 8, 2009 by gdunc

WGD
I was offered (and demo'd) a dog for £600 which would have made a decent shooting dog with a bit of polish; I would expect to pay £2500 for a fully trained spaniel to not far off trial standard. rickyspringer
What your after i would expect £600 or there abouts, I would prefer to have a pup myself though and train it to the standard you want, its nice to see your hard work paying off.... Let us know how you get on anyways mate... Good luck, always exciting when a new dog comes home.
