Vulcha
So i have a super sport .22, with a hawke 4X40 scope, some shody, £9 mounts and a sling and swivels. I was hoping to get about £80-£100 for it. My mate came in to work yesterday and said that he wants to replace his old meteor and wanted to know if anyone as selling a scoped rifle for around £150. So i said i was selling mine and i told him it as going for £150. And i got it!

Cranfield
What happens when someone tells your "mate" that his new outfit is worth between £80 - £100 max ?

roblade
dont think that price is too bad at all, i think we get spoilt by the cmoputers and all the bargins out there. Things just arnt the same in the real world. E.G go to ebay look up a few compon things (tvs, videos, BT phones) then go to a second hand shop and check out the prices they are selling them for! how the heck do they stay in business?? I would have said though even on here £100 would have been cheep for that set up as long as its all in decent condition, and not abused. You try and get a decent set up for under £150! especially second hand froma gun shop!!!!! Plus i guess he got the chance to have a good look at it first, and he always had the option of walking away from it. I have owned and sold almost 30 rifles in the few years i have been shooting and only one of them has ever been sold localy, and that was to a guy that said he wanted to buy it from me if i ever sold it. The only rifle i have ever made money from was a career 707 i bought via ebay was pulled two days into a 7 day auction and the guy said i could have it as i was to top bid at the time with £175 quick drive to surrey and two hours latter it was mine  and when you take postage into account i think its safe to say most rifles i have lost money on. all the best ROB :(
