hi hit it with 20 bore ,had few foxes with it with heavy shot was running 20 yards out killed it outright

Well done, what shot size/load did you use with the 20 bore bb's? going to be after a couple of foxes with a 12g myself soon so am looking for a decent load for them (obviously will pattern before hand just curious what you were using since it clearly worked)

at 20 yards 6's will work but ideally something between 1's and 4's are ideal, don't go too big as the pattern is more important just don't go shooting at silly ranges and you'll be fine

Funnily enough i just brought some Lyalvale express supreme game 32g no.6 reskon they will be ok?, so basically dont go SG lol i was thinking of seeing if my local has some 2's or 3's

Can't see 6's beign up to much to be honest. I've had in range foxes while loaded with 6's but didn't even consider shooting it.

Try it and see I suppose but not for me :(

Yeah i thought that way but then if someone is saying it can be done if within 20 yards then next time i may reconsider (if its all i have), that being said i intend to get some Hull Max traditional in 3's and see how those pattern and work perhaps going to bb if needed

I'd almost lay money on more foxes being shot with 6's than any other cartridge simply because so many are shot on game shoots during drives. I've shot a fair few over the years and wouldn't go over 25 yards but up to that they are very effective. However if you're out looking for foxes then of course you use larger lead
