JamesLeic
hi hit it with 20 bore ,had few foxes with it with heavy shot was running 20 yards out killed it outright Well done, what shot size/load did you use with the 20 bore bb's? going to be after a couple of foxes with a 12g myself soon so am looking for a decent load for them (obviously will pattern before hand just curious what you were using since it clearly worked)
al4x
at 20 yards 6's will work but ideally something between 1's and 4's are ideal, don't go too big as the pattern is more important just don't go shooting at silly ranges and you'll be fine

George1990
Can't see 6's beign up to much to be honest. I've had in range foxes while loaded with 6's but didn't even consider shooting it. Try it and see I suppose but not for me

Try it and see I suppose but not for me :( Yeah i thought that way but then if someone is saying it can be done if within 20 yards then next time i may reconsider (if its all i have), that being said i intend to get some Hull Max traditional in 3's and see how those pattern and work perhaps going to bb if needed
shotgun666
I WOULD ACTUALLY GO FOR 34-36 GRAM IN NUMBER 4,THEY WORK EVERY TIME,,MAXIMUM DISTANCE 25YDS PERSONALLY :( Six seam a bit light,2me,,,never tryed it though on 6s. al4x
I'd almost lay money on more foxes being shot with 6's than any other cartridge simply because so many are shot on game shoots during drives. I've shot a fair few over the years and wouldn't go over 25 yards but up to that they are very effective. However if you're out looking for foxes then of course you use larger lead
remmy1100
hi all ive shot a few foxes with the 20 bore using size 4 shot .having said that ive had 3 foxes using the 12 bore with 6's but within 25 yards i wouldnt agree with exceeding this range personally as more chance of wounding and lossing it
JamesLeic
Good to know guys and thanks as i said will bags some bb etc (just in case) but its good to know if i happen to be loaded with my usual 6's then i am still going to be ok if within range (20 odd yards)
