ernyha
blackthorn, it is purely a personal choice but I normally use 1/2 in mine or 1/4 if they are coming in well to the decoy pattern.
M ROBSON
1/2 choke in the auto is my all round favorite.
potshot
Or is it best to learn to shoot straight and keep fairly open chokes
hill billy
i started to use half in my beretta because i started with quater but i was getting terrable patterns with it so now i only use half for pigeons.

Whitebridges
I use a quarter in my Teknys and Imp Cylinder and Cylinder in the AYA s/s. Works well. Don'y use too much choke whatever you do.
Ears
If you learn to shoot with more choke it will improve your shooting in the long run. though half choke over deeks is good. and i like to use plastic wads to keep good patterns at range. Bigden
The tightest choke that I use on pigeon is 1/4 I have killed birds with it up to 40 yards I use skeet in the first barrel If there are any crows around then I will change up to 1/2 to give them a bit more "whack"
ernyha
I have no choice if I use my O/U because it is fixed at 1/4 and 3/4. We are going off topic a bit here though as the original question was about our opinions on the best all round (ie average) choke to put in the single barrel semi-auto.
