vmaxphil
you wont go far wrong with a 391, the urika is the same but black action like mine and it cycles 21g cartridges no problem and a bit cheaper, also look for the optima barrel if you decide to look around, as for bennelli's when i shot the bennelli challenge 3 of our squad were using bennelli's and they all jammed at one point or another,
mr salt
beretta al 391 is great ,buy one i got the black(urkia)(spelling) because: i dont like xtra wood, looks ok at first then looks ,not right ,nearly cheap.(fake). The finish can flake(silver coat)This may not happen so much on a clay gun,but in the field with age it does go off. I think you should get a beretta, top gun that shoots so well and holds it value. Dont buy any other semi forgot to add for me a semi is a tool for a job. i did look at the gun you talked about, I would buy a high end o/u or s/s but not a semi. the black ones great. depends what you really i guess. scott Edited August 19, 2009 by mr salt
Cranfield
I have a Beretta AL391 12g and it is totally foolproof, never misfires and cycles everything. I also have a Benelli 20g that does the same.
the last engineer
make sure you have the receiver checked out well, the plating is very susceptible to flaking off, the aluminum seems to sweat very easily causing a gap under the chrome plate. the surface will show signs of small blisters that propogate over time, thorough cleaning is required during all seasons to prevent this happening. other than that i have had no problem with fit and function. if you can find the same in the Urika take it instead, the steel receiver is far more durable.
