Damned if i remember who told me this and please take it with a pinch of salt as i am generally an ignorant moron on these subjects, but with these new Webleys i was told (by a gunsmith) to avoid like the plague - Outwardly very attractive, but with a very cheap action and internal parts - Repairers seem to make a very good living out of them.

That's only (educated - at least from the gunsmith's point of view!) hearsay. Maybe one of the chaps on here has one and can comment with more authority.

It all depends on your budget, and how important it is to you to get a new gun...

perhaps the bettinsolli's are a similar price, between 550 and 600 for a new one, and then come with a nice set of accessories.

"I think that I read some where that they are the same company that makes the hatson escort ? buyer beware .

Harnser . "

I thought Hatsan Arms was a Turkish company while I am pretty sure I have never come across a turkish guy called "Webley" . :good:

Look at the O/Us side by side they are very similar, just one has webley written on it, all the webelys at hatsans the raider 10 pcp is just a hatsan at44 10 shot with a differnt stock :good:

The webley wildfowler S/A are made in the same factory as the escort under licence.

Now this is a new one....

Most webley owners buy it, try it, bin it and then buy a Hatsan escort as they want to keep the budget to under £300.

It then leaves them enough money to buy their trademark suzuki jimny 4x4 to match.
