Hubertus
yes i got him. He was swimming still some meter and then death. The water was only 10cm deep. It was with the .22 and Winchester Subsonic Ammo. They make big damages because of digging. Hubertus
Ferret Master
I might just be being blind, but what was it? A water vole?
Paul in North Lincs.
Ferret Man .... It certainly looked like a water vole or muskrat or something similar. I think Hubertus is one of our German brethren, so perhaps this little creature is some wied and wonderfull rodent from his country. Hubertus.... what was that rodent mate; and have they got vermin status where you live??
Hubertus
Hi Ferret Master and Paul! It was a muskrat (thought it was called musquash in english). They have vermint status over here. They do a lot of damages with their digging. We have official (from the county) muskrat trapper! Its not a joke. They get money for every muskrat they catch to prevent damages from waterways. Best wishes, HUbertus
