Fox....no squeak needed

Hi All,

I was out last evening walking the hedge rows for pigeons - a few came out but went the other way so did not get a shot.

On the way back it was getting towards dusk, so I loaded up with No.1's and slowly walking back had this vixen which came out in front of me about 20 yards ahead.

Cheers

Nice work mate! A mooch around is a very rewarding time to nail a fox. I was out last night and we have 2 foxes which are seriously lamp shy- but the keeper says he hasn't missed a fox in two years when lamping with his .243, so it's someone elses work. If any of yous have some good ideas for nailing them, I'd like to hear it. Going to invest in a red filter and see if that does the trick.

Hi Frank,

The semi is a Browning Gold 28 inch, just the tool yesterday.

Hi Teal,

What about calling them in daylight - especially this time of year - are there any freshly cut fields where they will be hunting ?

Good Luck with them

Cheers
