doctorken
Thanks to Paul, had these 45 woodies on Saturday. After a slow start, 3pm came and all hell broke loose! The resident feral pigeons were making great flying decoys-always nice to pick the woodies sneaking in at the back of the flocks That'll be a best ever score for me Would've been more if I could shoot straighter........ Great hospitality from a thoroughly decent bloke, cheers mate! Ken

NICK76
Good shooting mate, I was the one directly opposite you under the large oak tree. I think we gave a wave to each other when we both collected our downed birds late in the afternoon, and yes you are right, the sport realy hotted up after 3pm, pity i had to go at 16.30hrs. Was a great afternoon though.
doctorken
Sounded like you got plenty of shooting although I was a bit far away to see exactly what was happening It's nice to put names to faces from the forum-hopefully I'll get chance to head down again sometime-certainly worth the trip. Reckon we got 100 birds between the group....? I was jiggered after chasing that runner though-it had managed to get a good 200yds away and was still going when I shot it again There was certainly no shortage of birds from all directions for the last couple hours-could have probably had two bodies in the hide taking turns/sharing a gun. The birds where appearing from nowhere-and I was between two trees that were still thick with leaves and just didn't see many of them I've even made a nice pigeon and steak casserole with the proceeds......... happy days!
