doctorken
I've just been looking at a second hand silenced benelli motefeltro obviously a custom job-anyone seen one of these? I wondered if they would they cycle the sunbsonic carts (its inertia operated) to get maximum noise reduction sounds like its seen a bit of action, but I'm led to believe the benellis are fairly robust? Baldrick
Benellis are almost indestructible. Robert Bucknell uses a Benelli that is probably older than I am, but still going strong, despite the abuse it gets. My old Benelli M2 put up with daily life in a tractor/Landy cab very well. It sounds an interesting gun - do you know who did the conversion job? It wouldn't be remotely difficult to alter the main spring to cope with subsonics, but it would increase the perceived recoil with heavy loads. doctorken
Sounds like it was a professional job so I'm hoping the springs already been altered. The only worry would be whether it will cycle the 2/12 inch cartridges (which I think most subsonic are?) There is the question of why the gun was traded in-sounds like something that would always have a place in the cabinet. Guess I'll have to wait and see what it's like when it arrives! Once it reaches my RFD, I'll cycle a few cartridges and see what happens I'll post a pic if I decide to keep it! Ken
Ozzy Fudd
if its an old style montefeltro be careful; i had one and it refused to cycle 28g 7.5's reliably (yes, shock horror, a **** benelli!!) it was a great gun and i never would have got rid of it apart from that
mossy835
can you try the gun first, and see
